A not-to-be missed iconic outrigger canoe race to London's most famous landmark hosted by OCUK.

Take part in a one-of-a-kind outrigger canoe race to London's Palace of Westminster -- home to the Houses of Parliament and the mighty Big Ben.

The event, the first in GBOCA's Race Series, starts Saturday afternoon and sees competitors racing from Putney Embankment to Westminster and back. After the race on Saturday competitors and spectators can enjoy a Hawaiian Luau and prize giving.

Tshirt and Luau is included in the race fee. **ALL competitors are directly entered into a raffle for an oZone OC1** Additional raffle tickets can be purchased on the day.

New this year:
-We are honoured to have Kimokeo and Ryn Kapahulehua visiting from Maui. Kimokeo will be a boat blessing and partaking in the day's festivities.
-The race is OC6 only and one day
-Venue has changed from last year. The race and Luau are now leaving from the Putney Embankment. The Luau and prize giving will be at the Vesta Rowing Club (Big shout out to this great club for hosting us this year! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!)
-If you are a solo paddler and need a team please get in touch before paying your race fee
-If you wish to rent an OC6 please get in touch

-Boat blessing 12 pm.

-OC6. 18 km. Men, Women, Mixed. Race times will be announced after entries close but first race is scheduled for 1 pm.

-Luau and prize giving and OC1 raffle. 5.30-6 pm

-Departure 10 pm

The GBOCA Race Series

The 2017 (Outrigger) Canoe Race kicks off the Great Britain Outrigger Canoe Association's (GBOCA) summer race series. The Series also includes the Great Britain Outrigger Canoe Nationals (October 6).
